The Hunterdon Land Trust established the Farmers Market in the summer of 2007 to support regional farmers by giving them the opportunity to market quality products grown on their farms directly to the local community. The first Farmers Market of the season is on Sunday, May 15th. It will be open from 9am until 1pm every Sunday through November 20th. Items available this year include artisan breads, grass fed beef, free range poultry, pork, quail, goat, lamb and chicken eggs, cheeses, organic wine, herbs, dessert and savory pies. The market will also have locally grown seasonal fresh produce, alpaca wool products, flowers, garden plants, native plants, herbs, teas and honey.
