Videnovich Farms offers up to 20 varieties of tomatoes and peppers. Also available: eggplants, summer squash, snap beans, shell beans, asparagus beans, cucumbers (multiple varieties), edible flowers, greens, herbs, fruit, and ornamentals. Most items will be picked only hours before delivery. Availability depends on the season, growing conditions, and weather. See our Web site for a sample seasonal vegetable schedule.
The Hyde Park CSA box is a smaller offer that includes 5-8 vegetables. This reduces the "food guilt" associated with larger boxes. This offer is tailored for smaller households or those on budgets.
The farm is only 77 miles from the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago. Drop-offs are tentatively scheduled for Wednesday afternoons at the Hyde Park Art Center, 5020 S. Cornell.
Deliveries are scheduled to start May 20, 2009 and will run through September 29, 2009 (20 weeks). It costs $20/week for a total of $400.
