Idle Wild Herbs grows sustainably grown garlic. It is organic but not certified. Our garlic is grown on ground with no chemicals and the fertilizers used are certified organic and composted horse manure along with a fish and kelp product that is foliar feed. A green crop has also been worked in.

The garlic is a rocambole, hard-neck given to me by my mother and another from my Uncle Pete. One is early and the other late. Both produce garlic that has 10-14 cloves per head that are large and easy to peel. A favorite with chefs. The garlic from my mother, Veronica has been grown in the family for 30 or more years. The exact source is unknown. You could say it is a heritage garlic.

The flavor is a deep rich spicy true garlic flavor. (more...)
