We raise 100% grass fed Galloway beef and pastured heritage breed pork. Our cattle are rotated through our farm's pastures to create and maintain a healthy diversity of grasses and legumes. The farm also provides nesting ground for declining grassland birds, so we choose to delay cutting hay in the early summer to protect this important habitat. Our registered Galloway cattle are excellent for grass-finished beef--it's flavorful and tender. Our pigs are fed locally-grown organic corn, barley, and apples. In the summer and fall, our sons enjoy watching them root and run up and down in the open air on the ridge. All our animals are raised without antibiotics or added growth hormones and we do not use chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Farm visits can be arranged.
