Indian Corn Wreath, our version of the medicine wheel.
Your order is protected with the LocalHarvest money back guarantee.
In American Indian culture, medicine wheels, or medicine hoops, are used in similar ways but can have varying meanings. One thing medicine wheels typically have in common is that they encourage the inquirer to look into the spokes of their own life and learn from the lessons that each spoke offers.
As you examine the direction, colors, and textures of each spoke within the wheel, you should take into account the balance of your life and how you, your family, your job choice, your contribution to society, your health, and so on affect the symmetry of your life's purpose. In other words, each spoke should represent an aspect of your life that you put up for examination. The goal is to gain a fresh perspective that can lead you into the fulfillment of your own destiny.
We use our own seasonal organic Indian corn to array the grape vine base. This spectacular wreath can be displayed year round. For example to transition from fall to winter, adorn the areas in between the corn with small cuttings of pine boughs or holly sprigs. As you do so, take the time to meditate and ponder the spokes on your wheel.
These wreaths are made as special order items. The one shown in the photo is a small wreath. We currently are only making large wreaths that are approximately 36 inches up in diameter. The cost for a large wreath is $125. Shipping charges for a large wreath typically begin at $35 due to the special packaging. Local delivery or pick up can also be arranged.
