The Iowa Food Cooperative is a web-based marketplace for Iowa-grown food and products. We do this via an on-line order system located on the IFC website. We currently have a once-a-month ordering and delivery cycle. Our initial distribution site is at a retail space at Merle Hay Mall in Des Moines. Plans are to add additional distribution sites as the cooperative grows.
To be a part of the Iowa Food Cooperative, producers and consumers first need to become members. The fee to become a member is $50. After the first year, there is also an annual fee of $10, which is used for educational activities.

The cooperative currently operates via a monthly ordering cycle. The order cycle opens the 1st Thursday of the month. All on-line orders must be complete by the 2nd Thursday . Delivery occurs the 3rd Thursday of the month at the designated drop site.
