Heirloom Tomatoes! The precious tomato comes in all colors, sizes and shapes. The skin color can be a key to flavor and the shape to meat density and seed gel pockets. Tomatoes can be small round and juicy and either tart, sweet or balanced. The large the tomato, the better the flavor and monster tomatoes are fabulous and delicious sliced on a sandwich or cut in smaller pieces for salads. We grow only field grown tomatoes in good Iowa dirt. We try to have our first tomatoes by July 15.
