Our mission at Island's End Farm is providing high quality vegetables grown to organic standards, promoting increased use and enjoyment of eating leafy greens, and continually nurturing the soil in which we have grown our vegetables for over 30 years. We grow small amounts of a large variety of vegetables. We sell via a virtual farm stand with email orders and through the local farmers market, and are interested in expanding to grow greens to order for chefs/restaurants.
We make small batch jam and jelly and sell it through out website. We also make natural unheated ferments-sauerkraut and several different kim chi, sold at our farmers market booth, local grocery, Astoria Coop, and from our farm.
In addition to our market garden, we raise Buckeye chickens, an threatened heritage breed, and keep bees.
