ITALIAN LATE is a softneck variety of garlic that does well under a variety of growing conditions.

ITALIAN LATE is a softneck variety of garlic that even in this year's drought, produced some big bulbs for me. Cloves are fat and the wrappers are tight. Great for braiding!
This garlic is grown under Certified Naturally Grown conditions/standards (organic).
Under stressful conditions, soft neck garlic can produce a scape and act like a hard neck, so don't be surprised if some of your bulbs arrive with a hard (stiff) neck. It should revert back to a soft neck under normal garden conditions next season.
While my garlic is good for either eating or planting, after October 1st would recommend that you buy it only if you're planning to plant it or process it (can it, pickle it, or dry it) since older garlic tends to dry out more quickly and/or begin to sprout.
Sometimes the shipping costs seem too high. If you order multiple items and the shipping costs don\'t make sense, BEFORE placing your online order, PLEASE CONTACT ME directly so I can adjust the shipping to the exact charges.
I can also be contacted for CUSTOM ORDERS or to place orders in advance of my online sales.
While I try to keep costs down, shipping Elephant Garlic (which can weigh about 1# per bulb) plus the size of each bulb, requires the medium or large one-rate Priority Mail box at $11-$16. Your best bet is a larger order so the shipping doesn\'t seem so high in comparison. USPS.com has set the rates, not me :-(
