J. L. Hawkins Family Farm LP operates primarily on a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) basis, selling shares of the natural farm harvest in northeast Indiana. The farm was started in 1957 by John Leo and Velma Hawkins. Today, Jeff Hawkins and his son Zach follow the traditions started by their grandparents by using natural methods to raise cattle, chickens, pigs, and vegetables.
J. L. Hawkins Family Farm also offers pastured poultry (chickens and turkeys), grassfed beef and pork, brown eggs, and other local fare for sale to those who do not wish to become a shareholder.
And join us on Friday nights for Fridays on the Farm, a dining experience for the whole family featuring artisan pizzas made with all-natural, locally-sourced ingredients and baked in an outdoor, wood-fired brick oven. Pizzas may be taken home as carryout or enjoyed picnic-style on the farm.
