You can enjoy your own Jack O' Laterns by planting these organically grown Jack O'Latern seeds from Double R Farm. Thay are also great for snacking, and roasting! We grow the Jack O' Laterns without the use of synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. They are great for fall decorating, and fun to grow. The Jack O' Latern is a fairly easy plant to grow, and will reward you with great pumpkins for carving, as well as delicious seeds for snacking!
The seeds are easily kept over the winter in a cool dry place. In the spring once all danger of frost has passed they can be planted,and harvested in the fall. The seeds can be planted 2-3 at a time 6 inches apart in a shallow hole 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep. Place the seeds in the hole,and cover with soil. Tamp well. When the seedlings emerge they can be transplanted, or left as they grow. Hill up the soil around the plant to give it support as it grows. The Jack O' Latern will mature within 120 days. We usually plant in May for a fall crop.
The seeds are packaged in 30 seeds per packet with planting instructions. There is nothing better than a freshly carved home grown pumpkin!
