Jacob's Cove is a family farm located in Orem, Utah. We began by specializing in heirloom varieties of tomatoes and have expanded to include many other heirloom crops including greens, root crops, peppers, berries, melons and many other foods. Our focus is on growing the best varieties from real, non-genetically modified, heirloom seed.
We combine open field operations with greenhouses to give our plants optimal growing conditions year round. Harvesting daytime solar radiation for nighttime heating needs allows our carbon footprint to be much smaller than typical greenhouse operations.
We integrate our farm animals into the process of working the land. The cows mow the grass, the chickens spread the manure and the pigs work it into the soil. Having this biodynamic interaction between animal, soil, and food creates the healthiest results for all three.
We love to share our love of good food and how to grow it with our neighbors here in the valley. We offer family plots for rent during the summer growing season. This allows our customers and friends to learn and share in the joy of producing this incredible food.
We offer an ongoing, year round CSA where our customers are able to customize their weekly order which is delivered to their door. Visit our website for additional information.
Our farm stand is scheduled to open in spring 2010.
