Although we bought the farm in 1994, we did not start raising goats or chickens until three yrs. ago. The goats came first. What fun....and a learning experience!.. And, still a daily learning experience. Then came the first batch of 13 baby chicks. All went really well, so we ordered a couple dozen more chicks earlier this summer. We now have a healthy happy batch of girls that are laying some wonderfully tasting BROWN eggs. They get lots of fresh garden produce in the summer and fall, lots of sunshine, fresh water, room to roam for fresh grass and insects....and of course kitchen scraps. As an extra treat along with the goats, they get day old bread every once in awhile. They also get daily grain, especially in the winter, bought from our local mill. Stop by and buy some of our farm fresh chicken eggs ................. $2.50 a dozen.................
