This variety was first introduced by Seed Savers Exchange and originally comes from the Basilicata region of Italy. Compact plants are very heavily loaded with 8-10" long peppers that are deep red with a glossy shine! Considered one of the best frying peppers, fruits have a sweet, fruity flavor when prepared. But, you don't have to fry these peppers! They taste great fresh in salads, or cooked in dishes. This variety is very popular and in great demand although it is often difficult to find in many stores and seed catalogs.

All of the seeds we sell have been home grown on our family farm. Seeds are only harvested from the best plants and varieties are either field isolated, caged, or hand pollinated depending on vegetable type to prevent cross pollination. Tomato seeds are processed using fermentation to insure healthy, viable seeds. Our seeds are hand counted and packaged in labeled paper seed envelopes.
