John Boy Farms is a small mixed farm located in the fertile Red River Valley of southern Manitoba. The farm grows a wide variety of fresh vegetables that are offered to customers from the beginning of June to the end of October. John and his wife Ainsley are 5th generation owners of this family farm and have worked hard over the past several years to transition the operation from traditional grain production to a small scale sustainable vegetable farm that strives to produce fresh, local and delicious foods free of chemicals.
In season vegetables are provided to Winnipeg homes through the farm's Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) subscription program and direct sales at the St. Norbert Farmers Market in Winnipeg. The farm is dedicated to using sustainable production methods that protect the soil, the food you eat and the environment. Their strict integrated pest management system allows them to use organic control methods that are safe while still being effective in providing high quality food.
