John L Council Farm is a farm where our motto is "you are what you eat" have been passed down to each generation. Using this as our guidelines, we farm using sustainable agricultural methods to preserve and strenghen our soil and enhance the health of our livestock. We do not use chemicals on our crops nor do we give antibiotics or growth hormones to our livestock. The farm produces vegetable crops and small fruits that are in season year-round. However, cover crops are planted strategically to replace soil nutrients loss during normal growing season. Crops are rotated to minimize nematodes and diseases. Our livestock consists of: beef cattle, pigs, rabbits guinea hens and chickens.
