Jordan Family Farms

Jordan Family Farms grows pesticide and herbicide free Mandarin oranges and Hops for making great beer! Our farming practices are as close to the earth as possible, we use a lot of compost ( that we make here) and only Organic certified soil amendments and fertilizers! We are a very small farm with a dozen or more sheep, half a dozen Alpaca's two Llamas, a couple cats and a dog! We started our farm when we purchased it in 1999, moving from what used to be a nice small town that was known for walnuts, olives various fruits. Unfortunately Carmichael did not plan for such rapid growth, now its hard to find a fruit stand anywhere. It is our hope that Placer county maintains it glory with local farms still producing food for its residents and neighbors! 2003 we planted our first orchard of fifty fruit trees for our family and friends. 20 (more...)
