Welcome to Jornada Alpacas. We were looking for livestock that would fit on our acreage (5 acres), be relatively easy to work with AND be enjoyable to be around. What a perfect fit with alpaca! Our goal is to breed and raise quality alpaca for the future of the national herd and quality fiber for the production of luxurious yarns and a wide range of clothing made from their amazing fiber. Last but not least, for the "shear" enjoyment of it.

I have had the pleasure of to learn spinning, weaving and now knitting the fiber. Working with Alpaca is a truely "hands on" experience.
