This is our Topical Plum tree. We don't grow your normal plum in this area - the climate will not allow us - so this is our version.
Your order is protected with the LocalHarvest money back guarantee.
Another wonderful fruit I discovered in the lush rainforests of Costa Rica - a wonderful flavor between Mango and Pineapple.
The fruit is shipped green as seen in the picture then will eventually go from yellow to bright orange. When orange is when best, but the fruit can be eaten in any stage in between. The tartness and acidity will differ between stages.
The green ones can be eaten with rock salt, similar to an immature Mango, and the leaves in the mature stage can be added to salads.
The fruit is eaten raw and is crunchy and a bit tart. Used in preserves and flavoring for sauces and soups You can Google some nice Malaysian recipes for this fruit.
Due to the unusually hot summer, shipping highly perishable fruit is more tricky than usual Some fruit is arriving over-ripe. If you have an issue with your order, please call me. I pack every box myself, and want you to be happy with your fruit!
Fresh Gardens are growers and shippers of rare tropical fruits. Many items you may have never heard of, and that is what makes them so exciting. Most have been brought from South and central America and Asia. Although well known in those areas very few know of them here in the United States. There are only a few areas in the United states these are grown and The Redland which is a 100 year plus historic agricultural growing region is one.
