We are a small family farm in central Pa. We grow apples, peaches, plums, cherries, nectarines, pears, sweet corn, cantaloupe, watermelon, pumpkins, and a few other small crops on 30 acres. We are a 3rd generation family farm. We use IPM methods of pest control combined with insect mating distruption to control pest in the orchard. By implementing these measures we have been able to reduce our pesticide usage by 80% making our apples some of the safest grown. We have abanoned all use of organophospates, carbamates and pyrethroids in our growing techniques. We sell direct from the farm and attend 3 local farmer's markets.
