Kenleigh Acres is located in the beautiful Willamette Valley. We have a flock of 50 Registered Jacob Sheep - that we raise for breeding stock, fleece/fiber, unique lawn mowers, and natural locker lamb. The Jacob is a rare breed listed by the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy (ALBC). Our lambs are born and raised on Oregon's lush green pastures, the sheep have continuous and unconfined access throughtout their lives. Jacob fleeces are light and open, and a delight for handspinners. Due to the spotting, the wool can be spun into a complete spectrum from white through gray/lilac to black. Our fleeces are clean and can be requested by name. Carcasses are lean and flavorful with a minimum of waste from slaughter to table, while tanned hides, and horns for buttons and walking stick handles provide additional valued products. Pl (more...)
