Kimberton Waldorf School - Food For Thought

Kimberton, Pennsylvania

Kimberton Waldorf School' s organic/ local lunch program, Food For Thought, has been serving delicious vegetarian meals made from scratch for 15 years. We use unprocessed wholesome ingredients to make lunches for up to 200 students and community members per day. In addition, we offer meals to go for those who want to take our excellent meals home for dinner. We have an extensive school garden which is maintained with the help of our students which supplies much of our veggies, fruits and herbs. We strive to use local produce, spices, herbs and dairy through partnership with CSA's and small farmers in our area. We also share our prepared meals and fresh produce with our local Food Pantry. Our garden, which also raises bees, is available for farm tours and internships. The school has a tour entitled Waldorf Works once per month featuring the kitchen and the farm.
