Kiomatia Blueberry Farm is a small family owned operation maintained by Judy and Kenneth Short. Judy and Ken are a retired couple in their mid 60s. The blueberry bushes at the farm are 5 to 6 years old and will reach full maturity at about 8 years of age. The primary cultural requirement is that water is supplied from a very good water well. The name Kiomatia is believed to have originated from a Native American word which is thought to have meant clear water.

The first year of pick your own operations was in 2006. The hope is to appeal to our original local customer base as well as to to customers from more distant locations. In the future, new facilities are planned which will provide additional customer comfort amenities. (more...)
