Kumbe begins with Belgian and a single plantation Tanzanian chocolates and a smidge of Venezualan chocolate for balance. The Tanzanian is deeply flavored and slightlu tannic. We then add Fair trade organic Kenyan AA coffee, local, organic 42% butterfat cream. We soften the intensity with an extra shot of organic Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla.
It is finished with evaporated organic cane sugar,corn syrup and sea salt.

When we began to sell our sauces last summer at the St. Paul FarmerÃ?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?s Market we thought that we had created a memorable ice cream indulgence, but, boy, we were surprised at the creativity of our clients! They couldnÃ?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?t resist using the sauces in ways we had not considered. Folks have used our sauces (we have to figure out a different name for themÃ?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?) in coffee for a little extra kick day or night; cold milk, hot milk, soy milk, spread on warm fresh bread in place of butter or jam; as a tart layer, on crepes, over waffles, spread on pound cake and other kinds of cakes, biscotti dip; drizzled on a tart or pie. Try blending it with marscapone cheese or whipped cream in a crepe with berries. It has also been used for dipping summer strawberries and draped over other fruits. Many customers tell us that our sauces never see another food group Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â?Ã?Â? they just see the end of the spoon!
This sauce is wonderful in a tiramisu, over sauteed apples or with roasted pears and cinnamon ice cream.
