The Lakes Region Farmers' Market was formally created by four volunteers in January 2007. Our intent is to provide not only the freshest food and locally made items but also to foster a sense of community and good health. There are dozens of farmers' markets in Maine, each with a specific feel. The reasons to visit ours is the creativity our members put into what they produce. Also with our market just in its infancy there are always going to be new products to try & buy as the years progress. Each of our members believes in building a better community by bringing community members together every Saturday May though October. SNAP recipients will be able to redeem their benefits at the market starting 6/4/2011
