LaPryor Farms

LaPryor Farms is located in Ottawa, IL and is owned and operated by Mark & Kristin Boe.

The Hampshire line at LaPryor Farms is very unique and rare. It possesses superior eating characteristics as well, with its fine and tender muscle fibers the meat bursts flavor in your mouth when you eat it. This line was purchased from a retiring breeder in Nebraska and is the base of LaPryor Farms Hampshire line. Mark and Kristin take pride in preserving their unique genetic lines of hogs. By marketing their pork to top restaurants, it can then be served for the consumer to have an unforgettable eating experience that will keep them coming back for more!

In the spring of 2010, Mark and Kristin purchased a herd of old line Duroc hogs from a Breeder in LaPryor, Texas. Thus being said, LaPryor Farms fit for a farm name. These Durocs are a very rare genetic line that have excellent eating qualities. These hogs were exported to Japan because of their meat quality characteristics.

Mark and Kristin do not feed any antibiotics or hormones in their hog diets.

LaPryor Farms hogs are fed all non-genetically modified corn that Mark and Kristin grow and harvest themselves.

Hogs are harvested and USDA inspected at Freedom Sausage in Earlville, IL. The meat is then cut into primals, cryovaced and ready to be delivered by Lapryor Farms.
