The non-profit Las Flores Community Garden is located in Waverly Park in the City of Thousand Oaks, California, USA. The garden follows organic practices but is not certified. Residents of the Conejo Park and Recreation District get first preference for membership. Members are assigned a 200-square-foot plot for $45 a year plus refundable deposit. Community work is required of all members every month. Members may grow many types of herbs, vegetables and flowers in their plot, but must not sell any products for profit. Members donate excess produce to local food charities. We have seasonal plant sales for fund-raising purposes. We hold educational seminars for schools and the community. Currently we have a short waiting list.
