We are all natural, humane breeders of Gloucestershire Old Spot, Large Black and Berkshire pork; Kardosh Bronze, Narragansett, and Beltsville turkeys; Broadbreasted Bronze and White turkeys; Angus and Wagyu/Angus beef. We grow pastured standard and hybrid fryers, broilers, roasters and capons; and collect eggs from real 'free range' chickens, ducks, geese and quail. All livestock is hormone and sub-therapeutic free. We also have a chemical free market garden with heirloom vegies and a few berries.
Doesn't this look yummy? This is a concoction of mine I threw together. I saute'd sweet onions, a jalapeno, okra slices, sweet peppers, a garlic clove and a few mushrooms for a few minutes in peanut oil then added 2 pork tenderloin slices and continued to saute until pork was done. I then added some fresh tomatoes keeping the heat on just long enough to get them hot. After plating, I topped it off with fresh mozzarella slices and a handful of fresh feta cheese. WOW!! Better than eating out!

The Eckers have very tasty meat and eggs. They are more than willing to give you a tour of their farm. It is worth it to drive the 70 miles from my home in Howard County to their farm in southern Washington County.... [more]
