68 Days. Determ. OP. Early variety sets in cool weather and produces plenty of 8 oz. red, tasty tomatoes. Compact plant was bred by Dr. James Baggett at Oregon State University to be late blight resistant. Dr. Baggett should be a hero to all cool area gardeners, (similar to the late Dr. Elwyn Meador from U. of New Hampshire.), as he bred many of the varieties we offer you plus many we don't carry. In these days of corporations profiting from seed genetics and controlling many university breeding programs with large donations, Dr. Baggett should stand out as a hero even more. He bred open pollinated tomatoes mostly for home gardeners in the Pacific Northwest, where cool nights and days limit production. This is one of his best, as it it extremely difficult to find a late blight resistant, open pollinated tomato.
Our plants are sustainably raised in our own potting mix. We use only organic fertilizers and sprays if needed. We have been growing and selling plants since 1997.
Our tomato plants are shipped in individual 3" deep pots. They are usually 6 to 10 inches tall and are ready to be planted out in your garden.
We package our plants with extreme care so they arrive undamaged at your doorstep. Each plant is tucked into its own padded sleeve. The soil in each pot is covered so it will not spill out.
We are currently accepting orders for the 2015 season. All of our plants are now available to order. Please note that Local Harvest has asked us to raise our plant prices and lower our shipping prices. So, although it looks like our prices have gone up, they actually have not. Once shipping is figured, you should pay about the same as last year. \\r\\nWithin 24 hours of receiving your order, we will e-mail you with a shipping date that we choose based on your last frost date. You are welcome to change the date to any other shipping week. Just respond to the e-mail and tell us when you want your plants.
