Lewis Creek Farm

Lewis Creek Farm is owned by Hank Bissell. The farm is located in Starksboro Vermont on the rich river-bottom soils of Lewis Creek at the foot of the Green Mountains. Since 1981 they have been growing and selling a wide variety of vegetables throughout the Burlington and Middlebury areas. Their produce is available at over 2 dozen local stores and restaurants as well as at their farmstand in Starksboro, the Burlington Farmers? Market, and through Black River Produce.

Hank has been a leader in creating the "Vermont Ecologically Grown" label, by working with the University of Vermont and the Vermont Vegetable and Berry Growers? Association to establish standards and guidelines which combine the most ecologically responsible and economically reliable crop management techniques from both the organic and non organic systems of agriculture. As a result of their use of ecological growing methods, most of their products receive no sprays at all.

Lewis Creek Farm produces a range of vegetables and plants, available throughout the northeast. These include, bedding plants, strawberries, tomatoes, corn, carrots, potatoes, and pumpkins. Please contact us for a full listing, prices and delivery options.
