Libertyville's Farmers Market

We are excited to be celebrating our 34rd year as one of Chicagoland's premier farmers markets! We close Church Street every Thursday morning from June 19 to October 16, 2014, and fill it with 30 vendors that grow, bake or make what they sell. No re-sellers or crafts are allowed, so you will only see the "freshest of the fresh" in the heart of picture perfect downtown Libertyville.

You will find certified organic produce, grown only 5 miles away. Free range and hormone free chicken, eggs, pork, lamb, and beef, and honey. Many kinds of fresh breads and focaccia baked the night before the market. Salsas, sauces, jams & jellies. Olives, pickles, and mushrooms. Tarts, baguettes, muffins, pies, and cookies. Coffee. Goat's milk soap. Watch French crepes being made to order, kettle corn still warm from the huge mixing pot, lemonade squeezed just for you. A flower bouquet made for your sweetie. And organic pet treats made for your other sweetie! Some of the best fruits and vegetables that you can find.

Libertyville's market is one of the very best farmers markets in the Chicagoland area. A wide range of "direct from the farmer" vendors, since no re-selling is allowed here.... [more]

They have an awesome variety that encourages my family to try new foods. It helps that the vendors know how to prepare what they offer - you can't find that at Target.

The farmer's market is something I look forward to each summer. The quality of food is superior and also helps support the local community. I also love the baked goods!!
