We have a variety of fleeces to choose from each year. Our naturally colored fleeces are from our Registered Jacob sheep. Our sheep are sheared in late fall before we start feeding hay in the barn - our fleeces are exceptionally clean because of this. Fleeces can be ordered by individual sheep, please call or e-mail for descriptions and fleece samples.
Kenleigh Acres is located in the beautiful Willamette Valley. We have a flock of 50 Registered Jacob Sheep - that we raise for breeding stock, fleece/fiber, unique lawn mowers, and natural locker lamb. The Jacob is a rare breed listed by the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy (ALBC). Our lambs are born and raised on Oregon's lush green pastures, the sheep have continuous and unconfined access throughout their lives. Jacob fleeces are light and open, and a delight for handspinners. Due to the spotting, the wool can be spun into a complete spectrum from white through gray/lilac to black.
