Located in beautiful Warwick, NY, Midsummer Farm has been practicing organic agriculture for ten years and has been USDA Certified Organic since 2005. We are proud of our Organic Certification, but we also pride ourselves in the fact that we go above and beyond the USDA standards in many ways. We use Biodynamic Agricultural practices, and we describe our farm as Sustainable and Artisanal. These are two of the most defining factors in our development. Our eggs are also certified by Animal Welfare Approved. We believe that the quality and style of our growing methods instill our farm products with the most fully complete and healthy nutrients. We work to make our small plot of land as healthy and health-giving as possible. It is a refuge for nature, a place of artisanal cooking and harvesting, and hopefully an inspiration to its visitors. We believe in the farm as a form of art and as a means to nourish body and spirit. Our goal is to not only provide health-giving local products, but to also empower and educate people both on the importance of sustainability in farming and on the importance of holistic nutrition. As the demand for more local produce grows, we will need more small farms, and a big goal of ours is to let people know that farming sustainably on small acreage is indeed possible and fulfilling. We enjoy showing people around the farm and talking about sustainable agriculture and holistic eating. We also offer a series of hands-on workshops in the garden. It is our hope that after visiting our farm stand, you will go home with fresh foods, recipes, and inspiration for creating healthful and artisanal meals. Our fields are diversified, and thus we can offer a tremendous variety of local, seasonal, farm fresh vital products. Everything we produce is grown in an atmosphere of ecological responsibility, healthiness, progressiveness, strong ethical values, and love for life and nature. We use a wide variety of heirloom seeds and our eggs are from a wide variety of heirloom chickens. Our farm stand is piled high with colorful heirloom tomatoes, bunches of delicious lettuce greens of all shapes and sizes, and cartons of multicolored eggs. Our products are currently available only through our CSA and through email/phone orders.
