(Dillon,MT)La Cense grass-fed beef is lower in calories and fat than beef that has been grain fed, even lower in comparison to beef that is natural or organic and that has been grain-finished. For example, a 6-ounce grass-fed beef steak such as our certified angus beef steaks, has approximately 100 fewer calories than a 6-ounce steak produced from cattle finished with grain. La Cense natural dry aged prime meat, steak burger patties, and all of our beef products are high in Omega-3 fatty acids which are essential to helping enhance heart health, as well as reducing the risk of arthritis, obesity, insulin resistance, allergies and autoimmune diseases. Conversely, La Cense natural beef products are lower in Omega-6 fatty acids, which research has indicated might contribute to development of cancers, diabetes, obesity and immune disorders. La Cense Beef is also higher in CLAs or conjugated linoleic acids, which are believed to help reduce the risk of several types of cancer, as well as diabetes, obesity and several immune disorders. As a function of the grass and plants it grazes upon, natural beef products produced from La Cense Black Angus beef cattle is also higher in beta-carotene. In fact, grass-fed beef such as La Cense Beef has approximately twice the amount of beta-carotene as grain-fed beef. Beta-carotene is helpful in reducing the risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease. Finally, La Cense cattle are never fed grain or feeds other than grass that can sometimes contain animal by-products. All La Cense natural beef products are produced from cattle born on the La Cense ranch, nurtured by their mothers and the care of our ranchers. We do not source our grass-fed beef from a consortium of ranchers. All La Cense grass-fed beef comes direct from our ranch and never mix with cattle from other herds.
