Tuckahoe Lamb and Cattle Company

Tuckahoe Lamb and Cattle Co. is a multi-species, grass based family farm located in Cumberland County, Virginia. We raise grass-fed beef and dairy cattle, grass-fed lamb, pastured pork and rabbit and holiday turkeys. We also maintain a laying hen flock of approximately 350 hens for fresh eggs. We practice high density holistic grazing which allows our animals access to fresh pasture each day. We implement a variety of portable electric fencing methods. Our laying hens call a mobile henhouse home and follow closely behind the ruminants in the pasture. Our rabbits live in specially designed "rabbit tractors" where they have access to fresh grass. Our CSA program allows you the opportunity to more directly support our livestock production efforts through season long memberships and monthly pick ups around the Richmond area. By joining our Meat or Egg CSAs you are supporting our family farm and ensuring that each month, you receive an amazing array of the best possible meats and eggs from animals that are raised the right way: with access to wide open spaces and free from hormones and antibiotics. CSA shares include lamb, beef, pork, rabbit and chicken. We are currently offering raw milk shares in our cow herd from 100% GrassFed dairy cows! By purchasing a share of a cow, you become part owner and are entitled to drink her delicious raw milk. You pay us to milk, feed and care for her, and in exchange, you have access to her fresh raw milk. Each share entitles the shareholder to a half-gallon of fresh, raw milk a week. The cost to purchase one share is $50. The monthly boarding fee is $20 per month per share. You may purchase as many shares as you like. Herd Share members are required to fill out a boarding and care contract for their share of the cow. We invite you to visit us and learn more about our sustainable farming methods and to try our amazing meats, dairy, eggs and fiber.
