Looking for a CSA that delivers Certified Organic produce at its peak of nutrition and flavor? At Boerson Farm, we are deeply committed to producing nutrient dense, delicious food using sustainable farming practices. We work the land with our team of Suffolk draft horses so that we can give back more than we take, every season. The quality of our food reflects this. We grow a diverse selection of vegetables, herbs and cut flowers. Our CSA members enjoy weekly or bi-weekly boxes of organic produce from Late-May to Late-October. Each 3/4 bushel box can include a fresh loaf of artisan bread from Renard's European Bakeshop of Princeton, as well as locally roasted Fair Trade coffee from Diamond E Coffee. We offer home delivery for residents of Princeton, Green Lake, and Ripon, as well as centrally located drop sites for folks living outside these cities including drop sites in Pickett, Berlin and Neshkoro. For those who enjoy picking up at the farm, members can opt to participate in a market-style CSA. When members choose this option, they fill their own boxes based off of a suggested list and swap out items that they don't want for more of something that they do. In addition to the added flexibility in selection, members who pick up at the farm receive a discount to the cost of their share. Markets: Customers who don't join the CSA have 3 options to shop for Boerson Farm produce at three local Farmer's Markets. Green Lake, Ripon and Berlin markets run from June through Mid-October. Also, visit us at the Green Lake Winter Markets and Spring Markets (located at Town Square) for late and early season produce and pasture raised meats. Check our website or FB Page for dates & times. Pork: Featuring Heritage Tamworth hogs, raised on pasture in summer and fed organically grown small grains in winter. We do not feed corn or soy, which guarantees that no genetically modified grains or legumes are fed. Instead, our pigs' protein needs are met with milk from our Jersey cows. Our trials show that milk-fed pigs are vigorous and healthy, and the quality of the finished pork is sublime. Pasture-raised pork is available both by the cut and by the half or whole. We sell at the farm and at the Green Lake and Ripon Farmer's Markets. Beef/Rose Veal: Currently, we are raising a mixed herd of Devon/Hereford and Scottish Highland beef cattle. Although we do not have a regular supply of beef at this time, we welcome customers to get on a list for beef or rose veal, which is available by the quarter or half. Please check with us for our supply of ground beef and pork/beef Summer Sausage. Farm tours are offered by appointment. Work shares are also available for those who want to exchange labor for produce. Our approach is sustainable and the food is exceptional. Interested?
