Springside Farm

We are a diversified family farm, raising sheep, dairy heifers, huacaya alpacas, Akbash guardian dogs, and Christmas trees. We practice managed intensive grazing for our livestock, and have grass-fed lamb and beef available. Raw fleece, roving, and yarns from our animals are available at our farm store, along with finished alpaca clothing products. Farm tours are available, preferably by appointment. Group tours with age-appropriate crafts and activities can also be scheduled, depending on the season. We are a working farm, and sometimes we need to be working! We have an annual Shearing Festival, on Memorial Day weekend, when we shear sheep and alpacas, with spinners, weavers and local artisans (woodworkers, pottery, chain saw carver, soap, etc.). Wagon tours, pony rides, a farm animal petting zoo, and food (lamb speidies, apple fritters and more) round out the experience. At our 1850 Rt. 91 location - In mid-September, Fall Is A-mazing begins, with our pumpkin patch, corn maze, and several other mazes ready to delight the public. Pick your own pumpkin, select ornamental gourds and corn, take a free wagon ride, pet the animals, ride the ziplines, race the pedal cars. Gift shop and farm store, with local honey, syrup and local artisans, plus our own yarns, roving and alpaca clothing. Also at 1850 Rt 91 - the day after Thanksgiving marks the opening of our U-cut Christmas trees. Premium Fraser and Canaan firs for your selection, along with our own fresh wreaths, greens and roping.Pre-cut trees also available. Gift shop includes Christmas ornaments also. Complimentary hot chocolate and coffee by our fireplace.
