Neighborhood Garden Project

The Neighborhood Garden Project is a form of Community Supported Agriculture. However, instead of buying what is grown in a farm outside of town, participants farm the urban areas of Ashland itself. The land is donated by participants who have a plot of land to be tended as a group of community members. All participants will receive: +On-Site Neighborhood Garden Design Consultation +Garden Problem Solving Hotline to OSU's Master Gardeners +20% off Garden Supplies at Select Stores +Ashland Gardening Handbook Participation is free, however, there are two guidelines: +Organic Methods are the best for the land and life. +Commitment to actively participate in the gardening process with your group is a must. As of Sunday, April 20th, 2008 registration is closed for this year. However we encourage anyone to garden in their urban areas wherever they can; containers and edible landscapes are two common practices. Tell us about your gardening adventures! We will be doing workshops once a month as intensive courses in organic agriculture. Stay tuned for more info later on in the growing season. This is the first year that many of us have done this type of project. We have everyone from permaculturists to first timers. We encourage education for all about how to grow organic food anywhere and develop local food sustainability. Community building is a great benefit from gardening with your neighbors. Please contact Lisa Pavati at for more information or visit See you at harvest!
