Singing Frogs Farm

We are a unique, ecological farm growing a diverse selection of high quality, nutrient dense vegetable crops for our CSA, local Farmers' Markets and Restaurants. We practice no-till, hand-labor farming (ie: NO tractors and NO rototillers) which greatly benefits our soil microorganisms, soil organic matter, and plant health, not to mention it also benefits our native, ground nesting bees, snakes, and other wildlife and beneficial insects! We are also a compost based farm, using only plant-based compost from our crop residues which provide huge nutritional benefits to our soil and to our crops! We do our best to farm with, rather than against nature. We have created a biodiverse landscape in which we farm, utilizing hedgerows and natural areas to increase wildlife habitat, especially pollinator habitat. We use no sprays. We were the recipients of the North American 2010 Farmer Rancher Award for Pollinator Conservation! In these and many other ways.... our unique ecological farming techniques actually benefit Mother Nature by increasing biodiversity, vitality and resilience in our ecosystem while also producing nutrient dense, delicious food for us Humans! Our farm also benefits from a plethora of domesticated animals including our flock of free-range Girlie Girls (hens) and Ducks for eggs and pest control, two flocks of rare Soay and Jacobs sheep (our rotational lawn mowers), our mascot Charlie the Llama, our milking Goat Mocha-lee, our farm dog Wenge, and our barn cats and avid mousers Theo, Suki and Yaki. We also manage and harvest a wide variety of fruit trees and blueberry bushes, and best of all, we never stop farming. So whether it's the dead of winter or the peak summer season, we have a bounty of delectable, fresh produce for you to enjoy! We look forward to seeing you on the farm, Elizabeth and Paul Kaiser - Owners and Farmers
