Green Wolf Farm

(Myrtle Creek,OR)

Nestled beneath the foothills of the beautiful Umpqua Forest, with North Myrtle creek running through; this pastoral valley is the happy home of Green Wolf Farm. We are a very small family farm specializing in all natural, high quality home raised and pastured chickens and free ranging pastured chicken eggs. On hiatus from raising beef and pork; we are concentrating on horses, chickens, and eggs for the immediate future. By law, our chickens are only sold live; therefore, we specialize in producing healthy and productive laying hens which are perfect to start or supplement your farm or city flock. Our animals enjoy our lush, green organic pastures, locally grown hay, and our own organic fruit and veggies. At our farm, we are able to provide a lush, safe and peaceful life for the senior horses who are enjoying our green pastures and loving care during their retirement years. We offer specialized full care for horses with special needs and in rehabilitation, and are avid proponents of natural horsemanship. Our pastures are fertilized with compost we produce as well as by our free ranging chickens, and we follow organic standards in our land management and animal husbandry. All of our chickens are in natural family groupings with a rooster in each hen house, and accompanying the flocks of hens as they graze and peck the days away in the pastures and along the creek. Additionally, we use solar power for our electricity and hot water, free ranging poultry for pest control, rotational grazing for the livestock; and our dogs help deter predators and varmints. We are committed to providing our family and animals with a balanced, healthy and happy lifestyle in the most natural environment possible. Proceeds from our farm operations are donated to support the rescue and rehabilitation of wolves, wolfdogs, and local dog rescue. Feel free to learn more about adopting, fostering, or supporting wolfdogs by visiting the facebook or website for Song Dog Rescue at www.songdogrescue.com, or Wolfdog Rescue Resources at www.wrr-inc.org.
