Rustic Moon Farm

We are a small family farm committed to the production of sustainable, organic, soy free (soy-free) food for our family and our community. We are conveniently located right between Bellingham and Ferndale near I-5 and Silver Creek. We offer CSA style purchasing for our pastured pork, turkey, and chicken; grass-fed lamb; and free-range eggs. We raise both heritage and standard hog breeds, heritage turkeys and chickens, purebred Romney sheep, and a variety of egg laying hens. All of our animals have names (although honestly many of our chickens share the same name), and Harry Potter, the llama keeps them all company. All of our livestock is fed according to how nature intended. Our ruminants are entirely grass-fed with the occasional grain treat. Chickens are fed supplemental grain but are allowed to roam free in search of bugs, worms, and all the fresh grass they can eat. They can be found taking dust baths in the driveway or catching some shade under our daughter's trampoline. Our pigs have full access to pasture, grass and roots with a supplemental diet of local grains, fresh produce, and milk from a local dairy. They can often be found wallowing in the mud or sunbathing in the middle of the field. Grain products are all produced locally by a small family-owned mill. Grains are sourced as locally as possible (Washington and Oregon) and consist of organic, non-GMO, soy-free ingredients. They are also whole grain--we can recognize the individual bits and pieces as opposed to feeding pre-formed pellets. All of our animals are well loved and cared for humanely from start to finish. We treat them with the utmost respect and gratitude for giving their lives to provide us with food. Please give us a call or send an email for more information or to order. We welcome your visit, but please call ahead so that we can arrange the time to show you around. Thank you for supporting local, sustainable farms!
