Creme de la Crop Organic Farms


Our mission at the farm is to maximize the flavor, nutrition, and quality of every product we produce through sustainable old world practices. Following these practices we strive to mimic nature and improve upon the soil quality in our fields. The heirloom crops and heritage livestock at our farm are grown and raised without the use of pesticides, hormones, or chemicals. Our heritage livestock manure serves as an essential role in the fertilization of our fields. The farm has provided products to its community for over 65 years. In 2003, Leann Landgrebe Pelzel founded Crème de la Crop. The farm has grown and evolved over the years. It began with a small farm stand, and it currently offers year round community supported share programs. 2009 was a milestone year the farm; Crème de la Crop became the first USDA Certified Organic farm in Northwest Indiana. Co-Owner and Chef, Jason Pelzel is using his passion and talent to manage our heritage livestock, assist our members with anything culinary, and to develop our value added product line. At Crème de la Crop we value the trust and support that our members advance us when they choose any or all of our farm share programs. We farm with the principles of honesty, integrity and loyalty, and we respect each and every one of our members.
