Sappo Hill Soapworks
(Ashland,OR)For over 40 YEARS, Sappo Hill has been making all natural, vegetable oil soaps according to traditional methods--first from an Ashland, Oregon kitchen, later from a garage, and today every batch and every bar is still proudly made by hand in Ashland, Oregon. Sappo Hill's traditional kettle process carefully blends sustainable Non-GMO food-grade vegetable oils for their rich, skin moisturizing glycerin. Each cake is wire-cut, air-dried and aged to create a long-lasting soap for exceptional mildness. This small-batch, time consuming process is no longer used by large American soap makers. All the glycerin naturally produced during the soap making process is retained in all Sappo Hill soaps. Glycerin is a natural skin softener and contributes to the soap's longevity, preventing it from dissolving quickly in soap dishes or bath water. Products of animal origin are not an ingredient in our soap nor our process. Animals are not used in our testing methods. Packaging is minimal, recycled, and as environmentally friendly as possible. We are family-owned and operated, have offset our carbon output since 2003, and donated over 6 tons (50,000+ bars) of soap to local and international humanitarian organizations in 2013. All Sappo Hill Soaps are Paraben-Free, SLS-Free, Phthalate-Free, Cruelty-Free and proudly handcrafted in the USA.
