(Phaseolus vulgaris)
The Little Brown Cat Bean is a dry bush bean, that is very productive and great for small spaces. Seeds are 5-9 in 6" pods. The body of the bean is tan with a darker brown spot around the hilum, (where the bean is attached to the pod)
The beans store well and have a wonderful complex flavor. The seed pods tend to shatter, so harvest as soon as the beans start to become papery, then air dry the bean. All of our foodie following is raving about this bean.
