LoganBerry Heritage Farm is a 60-acre sustainable heritage farm located in the mountains of North Georgia. Stewarded by a fifth-generation granddaughter, LoganBerry is farmed using natural (as in nature) methods. Farming practices include composting, compost tea sprays, remineralization, crop rotation, cover-cropping, using heritage seeds, promoting biodiversity, building organic matter in the soil, raised bed systems, on-site greenhouse, plant propagation and more.
With a focus on heritage foods, LoganBerry Heritage Farm practices seed-saving, with many of the seeds from family and community. A small herd of heritage breed cattle, Tarentaise, are pasture-raised and intensively grazed (100% grass-fed) for healthier cattle and sustainable farming. Chickens for food are raised on open pasture, fed Organic and/or Non-GMO foods as a supplement to their natural diet. Brown eggs are also from pastured hens fed Organic, SOY-FREE foods. Our goal is to produce foods that are as close to nature, and the earth, as possible.
An on-site Farm Market features weekly Harvest offerings and tasty samplings of the same. Market hours depend on the season and weather. After all, we work within the parameters of nature. Check our website for up-to-date hours.
Spring 2014: Asparagus, Brown Eggs from pastured hens fed organic, soy-free feed and housed in a mobile chicken coop on green grass. Also pastured, grass-fed, grass-finished beef, by the cut or the share, as well as our zesty Garlic Powder, Popcorn, Sorghum Syrup and Jams/Jellies.
We are a dealer for Countryside Naturals--Organic and Non-GMO feeds and soil amendments, as well as for Mr. Natural Soil Amendments. The best for your gardens and your animimals.
