Long Plains Alpacas

We operate a small family farm in York County and have been raising alpacas since 2001.We currently have a herd of about 40. The focus of our breeding program is to produce white/light alpacas with lasting fineness. Our farm is open to the public and we have a small farm store on the property. Our yarn is Maine mill spun-- by breeding for white alpacas we then can dye our yarns any color we choose. We use only natural plants dyes on our yarns and offer natural dye and felting workshops during the summer .Many of the plants used are grown in our gardens. We also offer many hand-knit items as well as nuno felted scarves- your visits are always welcomed!
