At Golden Delight Honey, we and our honeybees strive to bring to you the highest quality product at an affordable price. Golden Delight Honey is 100 percent pure Louisiana wildflower honey with nothing added. We NEVER, EVER, purchase and blend honey from other countries. Period.
After the harvesting and extraction from the honeycombs, the honey passes through a screen to remove particulate matter such as chunks of wax, propolis, or the occasional honey coated honey bee.
Golden Delight's pure Louisiana wildflower honey comes from a rainbow of wildflower species found in southern Louisiana's forests, fields, and swamps. We have 36 honeybee colonies to date covering East Baton Rouge Parish, East Feliciana Parish, Livingston Parish, Washington Parish, and Tangipahoa Parish and will be expanding to 100 colonies this year.
To create our honey, our Russian and Italian honeybees collect nectar from hundreds of wildflower, shrub, and tree species such as white clover, crimson clover, white and yellow sweet clover, asters, goldenrods, blueberries, Chinese privit, blackberries and dewberries, Chinese tallow trees, mayhaws, citrus, and numerous other wild and ornamental wildflowers.
