As a culinary herb, lovage has a celery-like flavor, but richer with hints of fennel and curry. Use the stems, leaves, and seeds in the same fashion as celery. Medicinal: As a medicinal herb, lovage is used as a tea for its diuretic effect, and as a carminative (relief of gas). Usage similar to Dong Quai.
