The Lynchburg Community Market is the third oldest farmer's market in the Country, having originally opened in 1783.
The Market is open year-round, Tuesday through Saturday, from 7am - 2pm.
Breakfast and lunch are available from a variety of restaurants. Several permanent shops offer specialty gifts, crafts and food items. Our Heritage Crafters Gallery and Artist's Alley are open daily from 9 until 2, where art and craft vendors display and sell original, beautiful, local art.
Our full farm markets are on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Green Market Wednesdays are held during the warmer months, at which vendors pledge they will only sell what they grow. Several farmers come on Fridays as well.
Join us at the Market for food and fun. See you soon!
We are located in Downtown Lynchburg and are open all year, Tuesday through Saturday, from 7am until 2pm.
I trust the food sold there more than that produced commercially in CAFOs and sprayed fields and transported thousands of miles and such... John Abell
It has everything and mostly organic....I love it. Also it is very important tosupport the small farmers. If notthe corperate groups will take ofer their lands. Then NO choices.
