The Macon GA Farmers Market will open April 7, 2007 on Poplar Street in downtown Macon. The market is open to producers, growers, value added products, artists and other creative art vendors. This market is a three way partnership between The Mayors Office, NewTown Macon and a local growers group. Taking place on the block where farmers would bring their goods in horse drawn wagons, the market will be a centerpiece for families and tourists interested in locally grown produce and locally produced handcrafts. The market will open to vendors for set up at 7:00 a.m. and to the public at 8:00 a.m. It will run to noon. Musicians, storytellers, chefs, and other artists will create an educational, fun environment for families, singles and the senior population. New vendor inquries welcome.
